2025 NFL Mock Draft
I've heard anecdotal stories from Nashville friends about sticker shock from Titans season ticket holders balking at the high prices for seat licenses for the forthcoming new stadium. It's been noted to me that the timing with the team slumping has not been helpful for some of those people on the fence.
The NFL doesn't sell football. The NFL sells hope. And Titans fans could use some hope right about now.
The Browns are paying a heavy price now for taking a big risk on Deshaun Watson in a March 2022 trade with Houston.
It's the biggest QB salary cap albatross since JaMarcus Russell in Oakland. This is not a normal situation and it can't be fixed in one year.
Cleveland should have great leverage for trading down if both the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders are still as QB-hungry on night one of the draft as they appear to be now.
This anticipates the Giants trading up one spot to draft either Sanders or Cam Ward.
The NFL is a copycat league, and with Jayden Daniels taking the Commanders to the NFC Championship game as a rookie in 2024, the expectations for top QB draft prospects will remain high.
We're also in an unprecedented time where Carson Beck had more agency over his location and income by staying in college (transferring from Georgia to Miami) than he would've by declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.
The big question for wherever Hunter ends up is: how will he be utilized? It can't be stressed enough how unusual it is for one person to be both the top wide receiver and top cornerback prospect in the same draft, which is how some evaluators see it with Hunter.
Offensive tackle and EDGE rusher are two other viable options here for New England as well.
GM Trent Baalke is out, and suddenly there's a giant neon sign flashing for the Jags drafting Warren here. It's too bright for me to ignore.
Warren set school records at Penn State for tight end receptions/yardage and won the 2024 John Mackey Award, given annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football.
Johnson is a high-end talent at cornerback. Travis Hunter is an anomaly, but beyond Hunter there's a notable gap between Johnson and the rest of the field on most evaluation lists.
Another option is Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty. As much as Jeanty has been linked to the Dallas Cowboys over the past few months, that can't happen if Jeanty is off the board by the time Dallas goes on the clock.
Part of the appeal of Williams as a prospect is his ability to fit multiple schemes effectively. If the Jets opt for a pass rusher here, they'll have several great prospects from which to choose.
Scourton played well in College Station in 2024 after transferring to Texas A&M from Purdue. This is a very strong draft at EDGE.
Pearce is a skilled blitzer and is well-rounded against the run. He's also effective at dropping into pass coverage when needed.
In this mock, the Bears end up with their choice from the entire offensive line draft class. Chicago could alternately look for defensive help here at either EDGE or defensive tackle.
This is either the floor or the ceiling for Graham depending on the person you ask. Graham is an elite defensive tackle with the ability to effectively collapse pockets on passing plays.
Jeanty is viewed by most in the know as the top draft-eligible RB prospect. He's great at carrying the ball, but Jeanty wouldn't be a realistic projection in this range if he weren't also such an adept receiver.
Campbell is a great mix of size, athleticism, and technical prowess and is expected to be one of the first offensive linemen selected on night one.
The Colts could use some help in their secondary, both at corner and safety. Starks is exceptionally fast, particularly for his size, to the point he feels like a prototype for the ideal modern NFL safety.
Starks is a legit first-round prospect. Imagine someone the same speed as mid-2000s Bob Sanders but five inches taller.
If Walker is drafted in the mid-first round range, it will be because of his superb pass-rushing skill.
Nolen was the top-rated overall prospect by ESPN and USA Today out of high school, and he performed well for Ole Miss in 2024 after transferring from Texas A&M.

As noted earlier, this is a stacked draft for pass rushers. Green has been rising up boards and helped his stock with a strong showing in practice at the Senior Bowl.
Seattle needs to bolster its offensive line, and there will be plenty of viable options here even if Banks is gone by this point.
Morrison was in the midst of a solid season with the Fighting Irish before a hip injury in mid-October put him on the shelf.
You'd imagine the Broncos will be looking to get a strong tight end prospect out of the upcoming draft, potentially in round one. Wide receiver is also a possibility here for Denver.
If the Steelers hope to land a wide receiver on night one, this would be a nice scenario as far as available options go. McMillan at 6'5" will create matchup problems for most corners.
The Chargers have defensive line needs, and particularly if the top tight ends are gone by this spot, perhaps a high-upside prospect like Stewart will be the call here.
Revel suffered a torn ACL early in the 2024 season, and it speaks volumes about his potential that the injury hasn't dissuaded prognosticators from projecting him as a round one selection.
Effective interior pass rushers are in perpetual demand in the NFL. Williams has an unusual mix of size/quickness, and his ability to flummox opposing passing attacks makes him an appealing prospect.
Booker can play multiple offensive line positions and would fill a need for Houston at guard.
It appears likely that there will be a run on offensive linemen in the back-half of round one of the draft. There's a good perceived value/team need mix here with Conerly.
The run on offensive linemen continues here with Baltimore selecting a versatile prospect in Jackson, who has exceptional athleticism for his size.
Harmon gained national attention thanks to his outstanding play at defensive tackle for the Ducks, showing a knack for pressuring opposing QBs.
Jayden Daniels is off to a great start at quarterback for the Commanders, and it would be a prudent move for Washington to select a top receiver prospect like Burden if there's an opportunity at this spot.
You have to go back to Terrell Edmunds (217 pounds) in 2018 for the last time a pure safety weighing north of 215 pounds went in the first round. It used to be more commonplace, but the game has changed.
It's different for Emmanwori because he's exceptionally fast. How many guys with his height/weight can run a sub 4.4 40-yard dash?
Evaluators rave about Membou's pass blocking ability, which has proven impressive enough to earn him serious first-round consideration despite Membou lacking prototypical height.
Congrats on the Super Bowl win, Eagles fans.
Ivey has high-end pass-rushing skill and a great frame.
